Attendance and punctuality

Absence from school must be supported by a medical certificate or a letter from the parent/guardian and it must be given to the Form Teacher when the student returns to school. The school will accept up to a maximum of five letters per semester from parents/guardians. |

Any student who has to be absent from school owing to some urgent personal matter must produce a letter, duly signed by a parent or guardian, seeking permission from the Principal through his/her Form Teacher. |

Absence from examination needs to be supported with a medical certificate. |

All students must assemble for the morning Flag-Raising ceremony at the assembly area by 7.30 a.m. Students not present with their classes for the Flag Raising ceremony will be considered late. |

Latecomers are to report to the General Office to obtain a permission slip before joining their classes. |
Conduct during flag raising ceremony

Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the pledge. The student must stand at attention and take the pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. Students who are not Singapore Citizens are to stand at attention. |

Students must obtain an exit pass to leave their classrooms. |

Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during school hours. |

Students are to walk up or down on the correct side of the staircase quietly and in an orderly manner. |

Students are not allowed to use the computer labs without the teacher supervision. |

Eating or drinking is not allowed in the labs. The labs are to be kept clean at all times. |

Disconnecting any parts of the computer can only be done with the permission of a teacher. |

Storing or deleting files from the hard disk can only be done with the permission of a teacher. |

Students using the labs fo project work need to be supervised by the teacher. |
cONDUCT IN THE SCHOOL TOILETS

Students need to get an exit pass from the teacher before visiting the toilets. |

Flush and wash your hands after using the toilets. |

Playing, running, shouting in the toilet is not allowed. |

All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item, which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others. |

Use of mobile devices1 is prohibited within the school premises. Students are advised not to bring them to school. This is to ensure students are focused during lesson time and out distracted during their learning. a) If they are seen, heard or used, they will be confiscated and handed over to the HOD Discipline for safekeeping until a parent/guardian comes to school to retrieve it. b) For student offences involving the use of mobile devices, when the school has reason to believe that laws have been violated, but the student and/or parents refuse to cooperate with the school in its investigation, the school may report to the police for assistance. Notwithstanding the school’s decision, the victims concerned (including students and teachers) may still choose to make a police report. c) For inappropriate content posted online that involves a school, students or staff of the school, such as derogatory or hurtful remarks, the school may contact the author of the content or the host of the website to request for the contents to be removed. |

Students are to be responsible for their possessions in school. They should refrain from bringing excessive cash or expensive items to school. The school shall not be responsibl for the loss of any personal possession. |

Students are not allowed to borrow money from fellow classmates or lend money to fellow classmates. |

Students are not allowed to make purchases from the school canteen, school bookshop or unauthorized outside vendors during lesson time. |
6 |
Students are not allowed to leave the school premises while waiting for after-school activities to commence. |
7 |
Student must obtain permission from the school to post pictures of school activities, staff members and any part of the school building. |
8 |
Students must not post defamatory comments or pictures of anyone in the school community. |
9 |
Students should behave appropriately at all times in order to upkeep the good name of the school. |
10 |
Students should regard the school as their second home and treat the school property with care in order to maintain the school premises in good condition. Vandalism is a serious offences. |
11 |
Student should report any accidental damage to any school immediately to the teacher-in-charge or to the General Office. |
