CCA In General

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) is a non-academic activity that all students must undertake as part of their education outside of official school hours.

They are only introduced from Primary 3 onwards and is optional, not compulsory.

These activities are crucial as they offer supplementary opportunities for your child to explore their interests or develop them into hobbies like art or dance.

It is a key component of students’ holistic education. Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents.

Students develop their character, learn values, social emotional competencies and skills to prepare them for future challenges.
CCA In PCPS

Our PCPS CCA Framework allows Primary 3 students to undergo Exposure, Understanding & Appreciation in their chosen CCAs.

Students can choose from any of these 4 categories:

Clubs and Societies – Environmental Science, Infocomm Technology

Physical Sports – Health & Fitness, Modular CCA (Sports)

Uniformed Groups – Scouts

Visual and Performing Arts – Art & Crafts, Choir, Modern Dance, English Language Literary & Debating Society

CCAs are conducted once a week, every Tuesday or Thursday, 2pm to 4pm.

Home-going arrangement after CCA need to be made by parents, respectively.

For Modular CCA (Sports), students will experience 4 different sports in a rotational manner: Badminton, Basketball, Floorball and Football.

In Primary 4, students who took Modular CCA in Primary 3 will be given a choice to select one of the 4 sports as their main CCA.

In the event of Blended Learning, CCA sessions can be conducted in 2 ways: Face-to-face or eCCA.

Face-to-face means students will attend the 2-hour sessions in person.

eCCA is a 1-hour online session done via SLS or Zoom.
